Skates
The Vapor legacy continues as the most popular family within Bauer's 3-fit platform with this Vapor X900 Junior skate. Its standard v-fit profile consists of a standard width through the toebox and forefoot with a low-volume, narrower fit in the heel and ankle. While the Vapor fit may not work for every foot type, those who do benefit from its fit characteristics often swear by its “second skin” fit and feel.
The OD1N concept skate provided the inspiration behind the updated X-Rib pattern. Lab tests, designed to measure performance, showed improvements in heel and ankle lock which resulted in quicker cross overs and tighter turns. Additionally, this X-rib pattern adds structural support to the skate, and can be found throughout the Vapor line. Bauer uses its Curv® composite in the quarter of the X900, purposely built with a measured balance of lateral support and forward flex. It's incredibly lightweight and responsive. The 3D Lasted design plus the fact that these are heat moldable is going to get you an amazing 360° fit with minimal negative space and minimal break in time. The fully composite upper has become standard issue for Bauer’s top of the line price point skates due to its unsurpassed strength, durability, support, and feel.
The tried and true HYDRA MAX mesh liner is used in the X900 Junior, and has a reputation for its durability and moisture management properties. The 3-piece felt design of the Form Fit + tongue features comfortable 48 oz white felt on the top and 40 oz white felt on the sides with added support and protection for the top of the foot provided by the plastic insert metatarsal guard.
The boot sits atop a full lightweight carbon composite outsole with the Tuuk Lightspeed Edge holder. This holder design provides an added three millimeters of height, in comparison to the Tuuk Lightspeed 2 holder thus allowing the skater to get lower to the ice for sharper, tighter turns without “bottoming out”, all while allowing runners to be changed out in seconds with the pull of a trigger. The holder is complemented by a high grade stainless steel Tuuk LS3 EDGE runner. When comparing the X900 Junior to its Vapor predecessor, the X100 Junior came equipped with the Tuuk LS2 EDGE runner. The LS3 EDGE adds another three millimeters in profile height which further increases the angle of attack, expands on your profiling options and increases the longevity of the steel with considerably more sharpenings.
Sharing much of the technology that is also found in flagship Vapor 1X Junior skate, there is great value to be found in this Bauer Vapor X900 Junior. Check yours out today!

To see if this steel is compatible with your holder, please check for these two things:
1) The trigger to release the steel
2) The edge name on the holder
If your holder does not have these two things, then this steel will not fit your holder
To confirm the size of your holder look for the 3-digit number on the back corner of the holder.
